Clifton Jewelers’ story is one of craftsmanship, resilience, and evolution. Originally jewelry manufacturers in Syria, their journey continued in the United States with the founding of Oro Italiano in Union City, New Jersey in 2000 — a small boutique dedicated to fine Italian jewelry imported directly from Italy.
In 2005, the business expanded and relocated to North Bergen under the name Hudson Jewelers, where the assortment grew to include fashion eyewear and watches alongside their jewelry collections.
Today, Clifton Jewelers has firmly established itself in Clifton, New Jersey, offering a diverse selection of brand-name watches, sunglasses, and jewelry.
In partnership with CHP Caliber, Clifton Jewelers has further enhanced its watch assortment by introducing Tsar Bomba — a bold and modern addition that reflects the store’s evolving, contemporary aesthetic.

Our founder, Becca Florence, worked with owner, George Fritz, towards the end of 2020/beginning of 2021. As you remember, times were very uncertain, and the pandemic was still being figured out. Becca was taking appointments from her computer, via zoom, and her cats were constantly in the background with the zoomies...
That holiday season, she received a few retailer gifts, but one stuck out in particular; George had seen her cats in these zoom meetings, and instead of sending Poinsettias (beautiful flowers, but very toxic to animals), he sent orchids, specifically because he was looking out for her cherished pets. How. Thoughtful.
That's just the kind of business owner George is, and exactly why Mills is thriving. Mills sets the gold standard for impeccable customer service, a keen eye for great product, and is a strong supporter of independent brands.
